Mission Statement
Mission:
The mission of Burhani Upper Primary School is to provide each student a diverse education in a safe, supportive environment that promotes self-discipline, motivation, and excellence in learning. Burhani Upper Primary School team joins the parents and community to assist the students in developing skills to become independent and self-sufficient adults who will succeed and contribute responsibly in a global community.
We at Burhani Upper Primary School want to inspire a passion for learning. All Burhani school students will achieve personal success in their learning and become responsible and productive citizens. We at Burhani school believe that all students can learn to their fullest potential. They will be responsible citizen and lifelong learners.
To enable us to get the very best from our students, we will provide:
- a pleasant learning environment in which a stimulating, accessible and appropriate curriculum can be delivered;
- information for parent(s) about the academic progress and general welfare of the students through regular reports and the opportunity to meet the school staff;
- a range of enrichment activities and support beyond the normal school day to enhance student achievement e.g. remedial classes and clubs;
- exposure and possibilities to meet people from different countries of the world and a chance to learn about their culture, history and language.
We expect parent(s) to ensure that:
- students attend the school regularly;
- students are sent to the school in full uniform;
- students have appropriate equipment, such as pens, pencils, ruler, eraser, sports clothes and a suitable bag;
- students attempt homework to the best of their ability;
- progress and achievement are monitored through the students’ diaries, reports and other meetings with the school;
- parents attend all Parent-Teacher meetings.
We expect our students to:
- behave well in and outside the school, and show respect to others;
- arrive on time each day, attend regularly and bring all the necessary equipment;
- complete all homework to the best of their ability;
- obey the school rules;
- work hard in lessons;
- revise thoroughly for all tests and examinations.
